  • About our Principal

    My Career:

For more than 30 years I have been an educator (teacher and administrator) in the Oklahoma City Public School District. Working at Page-Woodson Fifth Year Center, Hoover Fifth & Sixth Grade Center, Hoover Middle School, Webster Middle School, Jackson Middle School and as principal at Buchanan Elementary School for the last 13 years.

    My Favorite Books:
My favorite picture book is Make Way For Ducklings by Robert McCloskey.
My favorite chapter book is Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes.

The book I'm reading right now is:
Howard Cosell: The Man, the Myth, and the Transformation of American Sports Autobiographical Genre Howard Cosell was one of the most recognizable and controversial figures in American sports history. His colorful and fearless reporting, and courageous stance on civil rights soon captured the attention of listeners everywhere. No mere jock turned "pretty-boy" broadcaster, the Brooklyn-born Cosell began as a lawyer before becoming a radio commentator. "Telling it like it is," he covered nearly every major sports story for three decades, from the travails of Muhammad Ali to the tragedy at Munich. Featuring a sprawling cast of athletes such as Jackie Robinson, Sonny Liston, Don Meredith, and Joe Namath, Howard Cosell also re-creates the behind-the-scenes story of that American institution Monday Night Football.

    My Hobby:
I enjoy collecting diecast model cars from the early 1900's to 1980's.
